    How to import

    3 steps — under a minute

    Open GTM Admin

    Sign in at tagmanager.google.com, pick your container, then click Admin in the top bar.

    Choose 'Import Container'

    Click 'Import Container' in the right column under 'Container'.

    Pick 'Merge' — not Overwrite

    Select the downloaded file, choose a workspace and hit Merge. Review the changes and publish.

    Important: Always pick Merge — not Overwrite. Overwrite wipes everything currently in your container.
